Orphaned babies and toddlers who need specialized medical care not available in their home towns can be brought to the Chunhui China Care Home in Beijing. The Home, operated by our sister organization Chunhui Children in partnership with the Chinese government’s Tomorrow Plan, provides individual treatment plans and nurturing round-the-clock pre and post-operative care for up to 70 medically fragile patients from all over China.
Once admitted, each child is assigned a loving nanny or foster mom who will be there for her, whether in-hospital or recuperating at home. The Chunhui China Care Home offers the same kind of loving family-style care and stimulation that Half the Sky-inspired homes around the country provide … playrooms, music, cuddly toys and even a preschool!
Most important, of course, are the loving arms and warm smiles of devoted nannies – always there for little ones who are fighting for their lives.
Each summer, we offer a volunteer program for students adopted from China and for members of our China Care Clubs at the Chunhui China Care Home.
