I have a shop on Etsy. Etsy is a venue for artists, both creators of art and buyers of art. As a painter and photographer who has adopted our daughter Grace from Guiyang where Half the Sky Foundation has a center, I have chosen to donate 15% of the profits from my Etsy site. My site is called, CristiF Etsy Shop. I let people know this in my profile section on my Etsy site. You can find my own and our daughter Grace's paintings and photos as well as my own at the CristiF web site. I feel that by letting potential buyers know that their purchases provide revenue to Half the Sky Foundation it will make a positive difference in their purchasing decisions. I hope that this idea, of donating a percentage of the proceeds from our own business ventures to Half the Sky Foundation and Love Without Boundaries, which serves children outside the area Half the Sky serves, will make a great difference. I think of it as a legacy. When a person purchases a photograph or a painting that touches them they will also be part of perpetuating a legacy that takes the form of helping the "least of these" as Jesus referred to orphans and widows, and helping them onto a better future. Thanks so much for reading my "Bright Idea"! Kristina Fowler
