The Dragon Boat Festival ("Duanwu") honors Qu Yuan, a patriot poet of the Warring State Period (475-221 BC). In Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei province, adults and children gathered on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, (June 23, 2012) for a ceremony honoring Qu Yuan.
