Half the Sky Foundation (UK) Limited is part of the international Half the Sky Network with the shared ambition of enhancing the lives and prospects of orphaned children in China.

Although Half the Sky has had strong connections to supporters in the UK for many years, it was only in 2009, that the organization was formally registered as a charity in England and Wales. Now we look forward to broadening our community of friends who care about the welfare of China's orphans, and so we invite you to join our 1 Big Family.

On these pages, you can meet British citizen, Carma Elliot, Half the Sky's Executive Director, China; learn about our annual gala and about Jacqui Booker (above) who took on the Great Wall for China's orphans. Half the Sky is able to transform the lives of children simply because people like you are there to help.
